About Me: I’m a Texas native, a Food Network NERD, a major cheese ball (both in the literal food and figurative sense), a lover of sprinkles and champagne, and a cooking/baking enthusiast!
About My Kitchen: The kitchen is my happy place. For most families, the kitchen is known as the “heart of the home.” For my family, it’s been much more than that… It’s the heart first and foremost, but its also the identity, soul, and lifeline of our family. It’s been a place of escape, survival, celebration, and comfort. It’s the pace where I grew more adventurous and confident. It’s where I learned to fail and always try again. It’s where I learned to let go of perfection and embrace adapting to change. And most importantly, it’s where I learned to show love. In my opinion, the 6th (and best) love language is food, and that is a large part of why you will find me in the kitchen so often today. This blog is not just about cooking and baking; it’s about the meanings behind dishes and the feelings it can inspire in all of us. Recipes are really like photo albums — they’re memories that can be re-created and re-lived time and time again with loved ones that are no longer with us, as well as new families we create. The kitchen and food can bring old friends together while also inspiring new relationships. And I hope to do that with you all! By inviting you all into MY happy place, I hope that you all are able to find your own — a place where you can create memories, give and receive love, and most of all, EAT some delicious food.
So without further ado… let’s get in the kitchen!
